Attending TribeQonf 2025, hosted by The Test Tribe, was an incredibly enriching experience. The Day 1 schedule on 11th July 2025 brought together some of the finest minds in the testing community, and I left the event with fresh perspectives, a stronger network, and a renewed sense of purpose as a QA professional.
🔹 A Powerful Start: Setting the Tone
The day kicked off with a Welcome Address by Paras Pundir and Mahesh Chikane, who set a high-energy tone for the day. Their passion for building a thriving testing community resonated deeply and reminded us why spaces like TribeQonf matter—bringing testers together to learn, share, and grow.
🔍From Automation to Autonomy
Our first speaker Mallika Fernandes spoke on the topic “From Automation to Autonomy: Scaling Digital Transformation with GenAI and Agents.” Her insights into the shift from rule-based automation to autonomous agents powered by GenAI were eye-opening. It was a brilliant example of how GenAI and Agents are transforming QE at every stage of the SDLC.
🤖Don’t Ask Me for the Prompt!
Pradeep Soundararajan’s session was one of the standout moments. Titled “Don’t Ask Me for the Prompt!”, the talk challenged conventional thinking around prompt engineering in AI testing. His way of storytelling and perspective on human-AI collaboration sparked engaging conversations even during the break.
⚙️Solution Spotlights: BrowserStack & Zoho
Two Solution Spotlight Teasers presented:
- Ankit Jain showcased BrowserStack products, offering glimpses into the future of testing solutions from BrowserStack.
- Later, Surekha introduced Zoho’s latest testing tools, making a compelling case for platform-driven QA efficiency.
Both sessions highlighted the increasing importance of integrating AI into already powerful tools & workflows.
🔐Safeguarding MCP Servers
Jaydeep Chakrabarty and Harinee Muralinath explored the critical but often overlooked area of context-aware services in their talk “The Unseen Hands Behind Your Context.” It shed light on the challenges of data security and integrity at scale. The demos were added bonus to visualise these challenges to get a better understanding of them.
💣Test Data Must Die!
Raneesh Choudhary’s session “The Destroyer’s Guide to Automated Cleanup” was a technical deep dive into test data management—a persistent pain point for many QA teams. His actionable strategies for data cleanup were practical and relevant.
🤝Lunch, Networking & Extended Demos
After lunch, the event took a more interactive turn. The Solution Spotlight Extended Demos from BrowserStack and Zoho offered hands-on exposure, while informal networking allowed attendees to connect over common interests, shared challenges and breakthroughs.
🧠ETL Testing in the Age of LLM’s
Our very own QA teacher, Rahul Shetty (Venkatesh) led a compelling session on the topic “Evolving your QA Skill Set : ETL Testing in the Age of LLMs”, where he discussed the importance of data quality and ETL testing to leverage the full power of AI with less hallucinations.
💡Intelligent Automation Continuum : Evolution of Quality with AI
Sobhitha Neelanath spoke on this topic, explaining different levels (6 levels to be exact) of AI-driven Test Autonomy in detail. She also shared her thoughts on and steps to implement Autonomous Testing and related challenges.
🌱QA Leadership and the Road Ahead
The last speaker of the day was Ajay Balamurugadas who delivered “The 2026 Roadmap for Aspiring QA Leaders”, encouraging us to view leadership not just as a role, but a mindset. His simple explanations about various aspects of leadership was both strategic and inspiring. As always another great talk from him.
🧭The Final Panel Discussion
The highlight of the day was the Panel Discussion at the end, featuring Jaydeep Chakrabarty, Pradeep Soundararajan, Mallika Fernandes, and Ajay Balamurugadas. Titled “QA Leadership in the AI Era – Strategy, Skills and Success”, the discussion was candid and forward-looking. It touched on essential skills testers need today—curiosity, adaptability, and continuous learning.
✨Overall Experience
Day 1 of TribeQonf 2025 was a seamless blend of thought leadership, deep tech, and community bonding. The focus on AI, automation, and leadership made it clear that QA is no longer just about testing—it’s about shaping the quality narrative in a rapidly evolving tech landscape.
As Day 1 came to a close, I found myself not just inspired, but truly energized by the depth of conversations, the innovation on display, and the spirit of community that defined every session. With such a strong start, I’m eagerly looking forward to Day 2, excited to dive deeper into the evolving landscape of QA, explore new tools and strategies, and continue learning from some of the most insightful voices in our industry.
