I’m Kirti Ranjan Satapathy

With over a decade of experience in quality engineering and test automation, I have worked as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) across diverse domains including Industrial IoT, Digital Twin platforms, Finance, and Airlines, with a strong focus on building scalable, intelligent, and automation-first QA systems. I’ve designed and owned automation strategies end-to-end, led quality initiatives, and helped teams embed reliability into modern software delivery.

I am currently working as a Principal Engineer, where I build automation frameworks from the ground up using Playwright and TypeScript, streamline CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and experiment with AI-assisted quality engineering. My recent work includes developing an AI-powered MCP server that enables natural-language driven API and performance testing, pushing the boundaries of how test systems are designed and consumed.

Previously, I spent over six years at Mindtree Ltd, working with large enterprise systems and leading QA teams as part of the Test Automation Center of Excellence. During this time, I automated complex platforms using Selenium and Java, mentored engineers, and helped establish organization-wide best practices. My contributions were recognized multiple times, including Outstanding Performer of the Year awards and induction into the Mindtree Pillar’s Club (Top 5%).

I have a deep interest in the intersection of AI and software testing, particularly in areas such as RAG-based assistants, autonomous test agents, and intelligent diagnostics. I am an international conference speaker, having presented at events such as AgilityToday and ATAGTR, and I actively contribute to the QA community as a member of The Test Tribe and BrowserStack Champions.

When I’m not building or experimenting with test systems, I enjoy writing, sharing knowledge, and exploring how emerging technologies can reshape the future of quality engineering.
